The best way for children to learn effectively is as they’re having fun. We encourage children to learn valuable lessons, in our interactive role-play environment, playtime is more than just fun and games. It’s a chance for kids to be anyone they aspire to be. It’s a time to let their imagination run wild and a time to express their creativity. Our Diver-Citizens develop essential problem-solving skills by participating in real-life scenarios as they experiment in our interactive city.
At Diver Mansion we use role play as an educational tool. Children are able to explore the world in the most natural form for them; role-play. Taking on adult rules, jobs, and gaining new experiences. With role-play comes mistakes and learning from them, we encourage children to think critically in order to make decisions and learn to respect the city rules.
Our educational approach is based on Experiential Learning that aims to encourage, develop and reinforce knowledge, skills and values.
Our model enforces direct learning by “doing”. Some theories suggest that humans build knowledge through their experiences. According to psychologist David Kolb, learning is “the process by which knowledge is created through the transformation of experience.”
Another public figure who influenced our approach was Aristotle who believed, “the things we have to learn before we can do them we learn by doing them.”
